Sensory Memory Bank

In 2021-23, ‘sensory memories of the NHS hospital’ were collected through a combination of online contributions and in-person postcards. Postcards were collected at a range of locations across the country, including: Bristol, Derby, Manchester, Newcastle, Weston-Super-Mare, Winchester, and York. These memories have formed the basis of a ‘Sensory Memory Bank’ which is now live – please click on the image below to be taken to the website, where you can explore people’s memories of their time in NHS hospitals. Many of these memories are positive, though others may be difficult to read.

The memory bank remains open, so feel free to contribute your own memories HERE!
